Prosecution and litigation. Dr. Sakurai specializes in molecular biology, molecular genetics, cell biology, metabolic engineering, and developmental biology. In his doctoral course, he conducted an analysis of cytokinesis related genes. Dr. Sakurai also has experience in the development of industrially-useful yeast strains by comprehensive analysis of sugar metabolic genes of fission yeast, and the genetical analysis of brain development in a fruit fly.
